Happy 10th Anniversary to The Current
Amy Brace
My husband and I listen to the current all the time, so how excited was I to hear it's their tenth anniversary? Pretty excited! So excited, in fact, I thought hey, I should make them a cake! I wasn't sure how many staff were in the office so I made a big one! Three tiers in fact. Chocolate cake filled with salted caramel for the bottom tier, lemon cake filled with lemon curd for the middle tier and vanilla bean for the top. My three top flavors all in one cake.
Then came the design. Easy peasy, music. But! One of our favorite parts of the day is their coffee break, and I happened to have super delicious chocolate covered coffee beans. Music, coffee beans, their logo, and of course the number 10 for their anniversary! Cake design done and done.
I had so much fun making this cake and I'm so excited to share the process with you! Happiest of anniversaries to The Current!
After making the cake I delivered it to the station and had such a great time touring. Such amazing and gracious people. Congratulations to The Current and keep the great music coming! To many more years of the best local music.

Every cake deserves a gold sequin background.
Cake just after delivery. The looks on the way in were so much fun!
First time seeing a record like this in person, so pretty!
Because amazing record walls should be everywhere!
Thanks so much to the current for all your kind words and I hope you all loved the cakes!
